Ubuntu meaning “the quality of being human.” Ubuntu manifests itself through various human acts, clearly visible in social, political, and economic situations, as well as among family. Ubuntu asserts that society, not a transcendent being, gives human beings their humanity. The advantage of belonging to a network of enterprising women entrepreneurs are many, apart from support in times of need, or inspiration to move ahead it provides opportunities to be connected to government and other social agencies that have women entrepreneurs at their heart. Representing my company WeMana, I have the pleasure of having plugged into one such opportunity. I have been selected by UNESCAP to go to Nepal for a three day digital marketing program for women entrepreneurs of Asia and the Pacific. The aim of this program is to provide a platform to sell online to our neighbouring countries. The precursor to this trip started in June 2021 when eMerg offered an opportunity to its members through UBUNTU to attend an online training program in digital marketing conducted by UNESCAP. Thanks to eMERG and UBUNTU Consortium .Hope to make all our women proud.
We would like to share our Thank you and our regards to eMERG for providing us the opportunity to participate in the UNESCAP training in Kathmandu from date 4th April to 6th April 2022. This was a great learning experience and also a great opportunity to meet ladies across cross borders from Pakistan, Nepal, Srilanka, Bangladesh, Buthan, and Iran. We also had an opportunity to meet Mrs. Neeru (President of Federation of Women's Entrepreneur's Association of Nepal - FWEAN) who has invited us to participate for an International Expo in the month of August 2022. We also explored the local market and have discussed a possible export opportunity for both of our products. In a nutshell this was an amazing successful business opportunity for us. Hoping to participate in further such programs as well... Thank you e MERG and UBUNTU CONSORTIUM.
